Initial Iron Infusion Consult

Description
Every patient starts here. Before your first iron infusion, you meet with our Registered Nurse, Amber Landry, RN. We review your medical history, talk through your symptoms, and gather what our physician needs for oversight. Please Note: Patients are required to have trialed an oral iron supplement for a minimum of three (3) months prior to proceeding with Iron Infusion Therapy. If you have previously initiated oral supplementation but were unable to continue, please be prepared to discuss the reason for discontinuation during your consultation. The one-time fee of $489 is paid upfront and covers your in-clinic Iron Infusion process: - Your consultation with our Registered Nurse, Amber Landry, RN - A check-in and review by our signing physician the Tuesday following your consult - Bloodwork required prior to your infusion - The sitting fee for your iron infusion appointment - Follow-up bloodwork after your infusion Possible additional costs: If a longer infusion is required, an additional fee of $115 will be invoiced at the time of your infusion. Additional fees may also apply if further infusions or testing are recommended. Your nurse will review any applicable costs with you during your consultation. Insurance & your prescription: Bright & Well does not direct bill. To check coverage for your iron prescription, contact your insurance provider and provide them the drug ID number (DIN 02477777) to ensure drug coverage of the Iron when you pick it up from the Pharmacy. Some insurance providers may ask you to bring a form to your consultation for the Nurse to fill out appropriately. Without this pre-approval, it is possible you will pay for your iron infusion at the pharmacy (approximately $500- 600). Your care team: You meet with and are followed by our Registered Nurse, Amber Landry, RN. Your case is reviewed by our signing physician for oversight, so your care stays consistent and evidence-informed. No referral needed. Once you have booked, we will take it from there.
